Southport Christmas Lights have been Switched On

THIS years Southport's Christmas Light Switch had a good star studded line up, organised by the Southport Business Improvement District (BID) . Sadly the weather conditions where far from perfect, with heavy, freezing rain, drenching the activities on Lord Street for most of the afternoon. But the precipitation did stop for the most important part of the event, the Switch On it's self. This year the all important button was pressed following a fantastic performance by no other than The Overtones other acts that day included:- The Dice Men, Starkidz, Babyballet, Santa, the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre Panto Cast, Gwen Dickey, Yes Lad, plus Chloe Brown (Miss Southport 2016)... plus Olympic Gold Medallist Steve Burke!
