carrying tissues up your sleeve?
IT'S something we've always feared
and now a new study has revealed that turning into your mum is inevitable.
The research also reveals exactly when:- 'Mummy morphosis' is likely to
happen and identifies the tell tale signs to look out for.
Commissioned by Interflora ahead of Mother's Day, that took place on 6 March
2016, the study
questioned 1,500 sons and daughters from across the country about the
relationship with their mums, and forms part of the flower delivery
company's campaign to champion the positive influence our mothers have on
our lives.
The research reveals that; like it or not; 53% of us admit we have already
started to:- 'turn into our mums' by inheriting their habits (32%),
phrases (26%) and even sense of style (14%).
However, rather than this being seen as a negative, 34% embrace the change,
considering it to be a:- 'brilliant thing', while the vast majority
(85%) describe themselves as having a 'strong' relationship with
their mum.
Interestingly, it's men who 'turn into their mums' 1st (aged 23)
compared with women (aged 28). However, in both cases, it takes 5 years for
both genders to come to terms with it, and accept the change.
The study also revealed the most common 'mum habits' which people
first start to inherit from their mothers, which range from the practical,
to the cranky:-
1. Hoarding carrier bags.
2. Swapping Saturday nights on the town for Saturday nights in.
3. Beginning to let comfort win over style.
4. Always writing shopping lists.
5. Often moaning about the weather.
6. Having a bag that weighs a tonne.
7. Constantly tidying up.
8. Starting to complain more; especially about the weather and bad. customer
service.
9. Buying in bulk when there's an offer on at a supermarket.
10. Having an emergency medical supplies stash.
11. Developing a 'phone voice.'
12. Carrying an emergency pound coin in my purse.
13. Ironing everything, including pillowcases and underwear.
14. Modern music starts to sound the same.
15. Carrying tissues up your sleeve.

Rich Hall 3:10 to Humour
AFTER a successful tour back in
spring 2015, Rich Hall, star of critically acclaimed BBC 4 documentaries
including:- 'Rich Hall's Continental Drifters', 'Rich
Hall's The Dirty South' and 'How The West Was Lost',
is back touring the UK in spring 2016 with his live stand up show '3:10 to
Humour.'
His tour will bring him to Liverpool's St George's Hall on
Wednesday, 4 May 2016. Not content with just 1 show in 2016, Rich will also
be bringing his incredible Hoedown to London's Leicester Square Theatre for
a limited 5 nights only from the 19 April to 23 April 2016. Join Rich and
his virtuoso musical mates for a mash up of music, comedy and gratuitous

This is a comedian who's plain spoken growling indignation and acerbic

A brand new live
DVD and Blu-Ray, recorded at the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End in
September 2015 is due for release by Universal Pictures (UK) in 2016.
