O'Leary's, Fox & Goose
+ Ship & Anchor host live music event! Photographs by
Patrick Trollope.
ON April 26 April 2015, the 3 venues on
Cable Street, in Southport, hosted what they hope to be the first 'All Day' live
music event. The first one was also carried the tagline:- "Same the
Lomax." A nightclub venue in Liverpool that is well known for providing
live music, via local bands, but has been closed by Police at the start of the
year. "It's all about live music this event and providing a new
opportunity for local bands on Merseyside to perform in. We included the tag
line about the Lomax as it is a well known venue in Liverpool and as many bands
taking part in our event are from Liverpool and feel strongly about its closure,
we thought we would add the line and show our support for live music."
One of the organisers told us. Taking part where O'Leary's, the Fox and Goose
along with The Ship and Anchor. All 3 have got a good reputation for live
entertainment, so the result was they had so many musicians and bands playing
that it was hard to work out who to watch. This event promises to be one to keep
an eye on. Fantastic music, good atmosphere and 3 fantastic venues! We are told
they plan more events like this so keep your ears open for more news very soon!
