MERSEYSIDE Police Detectives in Southport are
appealing for witnesses following an assault on Thursday, 6 March
2014. Officers from the force had been called to West Street, at
about 7.50pm, following a report that an 18 year old man had
received a cut to his leg. The injury is thought to have been caused
by a knife and the male offender approached the victim from behind.
The victim was taken to hospital were he is receiving treatment to
his injury which is serious, but not life threatening. Patrols in
the area were increased in an effort to identify the offender whilst
detectives checked CCTV from the immediate area and carried out
house-to-house enquiries. The motive for the assault is unknown at
this stage and a full investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Police. Detective
Chief Inspector David Rooney said:- "This is a shocking
assault on a young man outside his house, who has been caused a lot
of pain and is in hospital where he is being treated. We take
incidents of this nature extremely seriously and are appealing to
anyone in the area at the time who might have seen something to

CCTV OF MISSING BRADFORD STUDENT
AT LIVERPOOL

Yorkshire Police are still investigating the disappearance of a
Bradford student who has been missing for more than 2 weeks and have
now released a CCTV picture of him in Liverpool, to the media.
The image shows 21 year old Aamir Qudeer leaving the City's Lime
Street station, just hours after he was last seen at Leeds railway
station boarding a train to Liverpool, on Wednesday, 26 February
2014. Aamir, who is also known as Eric, and lives in Leeds, has not
been seen since and his family are extremely concerned for his
welfare. Aamir is 5ft 5ins tall and was wearing a grey long sleeved
top, dark body warmer, dark trousers and dark shoes. Detective
Inspector Neil Benstead of Bradford CID, said:- "We are concerned
about Aamir and are appealing to him or anyone who may have seen him
in Merseyside or Yorkshire to please make contact and reassure both
us and his family that he is okay. His disappearance is out of
character and his lack of contact is causing serious concern. I
would appeal to Aamir or anyone who sees him to get in contact with
Police on 101. Anyone with information can also ring the National

WANTED - ALAN SPENCER
MERSEYSIDE Police are appealing for the
public's help to trace 24 year old Alan Spencer after he breached
his bail conditions. Spencer was arrested in connection with an
incident that occurred in August last year, in which a 43 year old
was assaulted. Officers are seeking to trace Spencer after he failed
to answer bail. Spencer is described as white, about 6ft tall, of a
medium build with shaved dark hair. Officers would urge Spencer or
anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact them. Spencer is
known to have links to the Bootle and Walton areas. Officers are
appealing to anyone who may know of his whereabouts to contact
Merseyside Police on:- 0151 777 3095 or Crimestoppers, anonymously,

NEXT OF KIN APPEAL - ROBERT LATHAM
LIVERPOOL Coroner's Office are currently
appealing for the whereabouts of the next of kin of a Sefton man.
Robert Latham, aged 68, from Seaforth died at hospital on Thursday,
13 March 2004. His death is not being treated as suspicious. It is
believed he had an ex-wife called:- Peggy, who may live in Cornwall
and possibly a son living in Wales. Liverpool Coroners' Office is
looking to trace any family members of Mr Latham. Anyone with
information about his relatives or next of kin is asked to email:-

TOM Hardy, star films such as Layer Cake and
Batman (where he played Bane) is currently staying in Liverpool, as
he films the 2nd Season of Peaky Blinders. Tom is cast in the 1920s
gangster drama set in Birmingham and has been seen around and about
the City's historic Georgian Quarter, to the delight of many fans.
