Airdome for
Formby Football Club
FORMBY FC's owner, Hugh
McAuley has recently submitted an application to Sefton Council for
permission to home the only Airdome in Merseyside.
The 8 week application which is hoped to be passed within the next 6
to 7 weeks, plans to build the large Airdome on the existing Formby
site.
Formby FC is currently home to four 3G Astroturf pitches which the
Airdome, will cover for all year round access. If the application is
agreed they hope to have it open in April 2014 and make it free
access for all schools between 9am to 4:30pm.
Hugh plans to make the Airdome available to the charity, Street
League, who helps youth unemployment through football, and is hoping
to host girls football tournaments starting in December and running
every 3 months after that. Providing free access to the Airdome
gives these alone the benefits of being able to use the facilities
all year round despite the weather.
Owner, Hugh McAuley says:- "The Dome will be to
my knowledge the only Airdome with Astroturf pitches for hire in the
Merseyside area. There are indoor sports centres and school halls
but the surface we have is fantastic. Obviously with the bad
winters, if we have this facility it will provide all year round
access for kids and adults in the area. We are looking to put a
small food and drink counter in there as well as cricket nets and
there will be room for a classroom were educational courses can be
hosted from."
Air Domes, in comparison to traditional buildings,
are faster and more cost effective when building an indoor sport
facility. Traditional
buildings can take months or even years to be designed, although the
Airdome, after the planning is approved, can be built and running
within weeks of ordering.
The Airdome's benefits are:-
► Can be used all year round or just in winter.
► Fast to deploy.
► Easily re-locatable.
► Extends sport season.
► Easy to operate and maintain.
► Double membrane system to allow daylight to permeate into the
building.

Matty on the rise

Management
ONLY days since he
preformed at the Southport Christmas Lights Switch On, the Sefton
Singer - Songwriter Matthew Holding AKA Matty H, has just recorded
his first ever music video, for his new single "Cause You"
out in early 2014. Matty H and his management team (Mersey Artist
Management) around Liverpool's iconic Albert Dock area, on Friday,
22 November 2013. Matty who is new to the music scene and tipped for
stardom has played a number of gigs in the past few months one of
which included the the event a2z Bar, in Liverpool One, that we had
covered back in
August. Matty H was a finalist
on last years Teen Star UK and has just passed the 1st of the 2
rounds for this years Britains Got Talent. You can find out move by

THE AMAZING REBECCA FERGUSON HAS
LINED UP HER SECOND HEADLINE TOUR OF THE UK, FOR MARCH 2014
REBECCA
Ferguson will tour the UK
in March 2014, playing a series of shows in venues hand-picked to
showcase her extraordinarily powerful new material. The tour
includes a date at EchoTwo @ Echo Arena Liverpool on 23 March 2014.
The singer, whose debut album went double platinum, will release her
new album "Freedom" on December 2, prefaced by the
single "I Hope" on 1 December 2013.
Tickets for all UK shows go on sale at 10am on Friday, 29 November
2013.
This will only be Rebecca's second full UK tour ever, her first in
2012 climaxing with triumphant shows in Liverpool and in London at
the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane. Critics wrote of that show:-
