SYNEXUS
CURRENTLY RECRUITING PATIENTS WITH ECZEMA IN MERSEYSIDE TO ASSESS A
NEW OINTMENT
SYNEXUS, a company
dedicated to the successful recruitment and running of clinical
studies with a Dedicated Research Centre in MERSEYSIDE, is currently
recruiting patients with eczema to take part in a study assessing a
new ointment for the condition.
Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, causes dry skin and
itchiness and these symptoms are felt by thousands on a daily basis.
In the UK, 1 in 5 children and one in twelve adults have the
condition.
Creams and ointments applied to affected areas can help to relieve
these symptoms.
Synexus is looking for patients in MERSEYSIDE to take part in the
study and assess a new ointment which could help relieve the
symptoms of eczema. The study may be suitable for you if:
You are aged 12 or over
Your doctor has diagnosed eczema (atopic dermatitis)
The study involves patients using
the ointment on the affected areas twice daily over a period of four
weeks. During this time patients will be required to visit Synexus'
MERSEYSIDE Dedicated Clinical Research Centre seven times and
complete a paper diary to record their symptoms.
Those who would like to find out more or are interested in
participating in this study should contact Synexus' MERSEYSIDE
Clinical Research Centre and quote the relevant reference code.
Merseyside:- 0151 550 9951
Ref no:- 15135
There is no obligation for people to participate and if they do
decide to take part, their GP will be kept fully informed of their
involvement. Patients will be reimbursed for their time and all
reasonable out of pocket expenses if they are accepted onto the
study.
Synexus has many years experience in conducting a wide range of
clinical studies. Each year, thousands of patients take part in
clinical studies at Synexus' Dedicated Clinical Research Centres.
There are many different studies running at each of the Centres
throughout the year including potential treatments for conditions
such as osteoporosis, raised cholesterol, eczema, asthma, diabetes
and osteoarthritis of the knee.
Participating in a Synexus clinical study means patients receive
increased medical attention and may benefit from medications that
aren't yet available to other sufferers of their condition, while
making a positive contribution to the health of future generations.

Recycle clothes,
raise funds, reward yourself!
BHS in Liverpool joins forces with Clothes Aid
to support the NSPCC. This August, BHS stores in Liverpool are once
again teaming up with Clothes Aid to encourage people to clear out
their wardrobes to support the NSPCC.
For every full bag of clothing donated via the NSPCC's official
partner Clothes Aid, BHS will give customers a £5 voucher to spend
in-store as a thank you for turning unwanted clothes into pounds for
the NSPCC.
To take part, people across Liverpool should fill a large bag with
their unwanted clothes, shoes, belts and bags, and call Clothes
Aid's helpline on:- 08450 722 780 to arrange a convenient collection
time.
The money raised by the scheme will help to make a massive
difference to the lives of children and young people in Liverpool
and across the UK. It could pay for more ChildLine counsellors to
answer contacts from children by phone and online; help the NSPCC
answer more calls from adults with concerns about a child; and
enable the charity to develop its pioneering services for children
who have suffered abuse and harm.
A WRAP Report found that consumers are throwing out almost one
million tonnes of textiles, mainly clothes, shoes and linens, every
year. The BHS and Clothes Aid clear out campaign provides an easy
way to help the environment, and reward yourself for doing so whilst
donating to a good cause!
NSPCC Fundraising Account Manager, Alison Roberts said:-
"Clearing out old clothes is a great way for people in Liverpool to
support the NSPCC. The charity relies on the generosity of the
general public and the money raised through this fantastic promotion
will help the NSPCC to continue to protect vulnerable children."
Since 2006, BHS has raised over £1million for the NSPCC and has
committed to continue to raise more money through 2013/2014.
Collection can be arranged by contacting Clothes Aid before 30
September 2013 and BHS vouchers can be redeemed in selected stores
until 31 October 2013.
From 23 August to 31 August 2013, BHS stores across the UK, including in
Liverpool, will also be hosting 'Go Green' fundraising week to
support the NSPCC so head down to your nearest BHS store to get
involved in the fun!. |
