SOUTHPORT LAW FIRM GETS PERSONAL FOR NATIONAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN
SOUTHPORT based Fletchers
Solicitors has launched a £1million national marketing campaign that
is very personal for the firm's CEO Ed Fletcher.
The campaign, advertising the firm's specialist services for people
suffering severe personal injury and medical negligence, will run
across cinema, radio, online, outdoor and press and includes a 30
second film based on Ed's own story.
Ed severed his spinal chord in a motorbike accident in 1999 and
believes that this experience helps shape everything his firm's
support of others who have suffered life altering accidents and
injury.
"Our message for people with injuries and their families is
that you won't be going through this alone.
Its common for people to feel that their life is over at times
like these, we try to show them that actually they have a new life
that is only just beginning. I wanted to use my own experience
because it has helped inform everything we do as a firm and
challenges the traditional perception that for lawyers these cases
are 'just a job.' For us, that's certainly not the case." explains Ed.
A senior litigator and member of the Association of Personal Injury
Lawyers (APIL), Ed also chairs the North West Spinal Injuries Centre
Patient Group. He is a mentor for young people with recently
sustained spinal cord injury.
He remains a motorbike enthusiast and belongs to the National
Association of Bikers with a Disability (NABD).
Ed is also a keen hand-cyclist, sit-skiier and swimmer. He was also
a member of the Great Britain Para-Triathlon Squad.
Fletchers handles a significant proportion of the UK's serious
personal injury claims and also handles one in 25 of the UK's
medical negligence cases. |

Merseytravel Customer Forums
MERSEYTRAVEL'S Spring
Customer Forums will be held across the region over 15 April to 19
April 2013, giving people from Merseyside the opportunity to air their
views on public transport.
Each of the forums, held in Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens
and Wirral, give people the chance to meet local Councillors,
representatives from Merseytravel, The British Transport Police and
transport operators including Arriva, Stagecoach, Northern Rail and
Merseyrail. The topic for discussion at this month's forum is
Customer Service Standards, including bus driver behaviour.
There will also be 'Travel Surgeries' at each event, offering
one to one advice and information.
Merseytravel Chair, Councillor Liam Robinson, said:-
"Merseytravel is working with partners to achieve world class
Customer Service for all transport users, so this month's forum
topic is ideal to look at what's going well for our customers and
explore ways in which we can improve."

Missing From Home:- 84 year old,
Ken Donaldson
MERSEYSIDE Police are
continuing its appeal for information for the whereabouts of 84 year
old Ken Donaldson. Mr Donaldson went missing from his home in
Heywood Boulevard, Thingwall at around 2pm on Saturday,6 April 2013
and was last seen at the junction of Arrowe Park Road / Pensby Road
and Barnston Road. He is described as white, 5ft 1in tall, of slim
build with grey hair. He was last seen wearing a beige jacket and
brown trousers. He also walks with a stoop. Inspector Steve Hall
said:- "I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Mr
Donaldson to get in contact. His family are very worried about him
and think it may be possible he has sought refuge overnight in
someone's shed or garage. I would therefore ask residents to check
any out-buildings they may have." Anyone who has seen Mr
Donaldson since 2pm Saturday,6 April 2013, are asked to contact
